Rules of the School

T.K.M. Centenary Public School believes that discipline, responsibility, and mutual respect are the foundations of a healthy learning environment. Every student is expected to follow the school rules sincerely and uphold the values of the institution. Parents are requested to support the school by ensuring that these guidelines are followed at all times.

  • Students must report to school on time. Late entry to class will be permitted only with the approval of the Principal or an authorized teacher.
  • Students should attend the morning assembly regularly. Absence from the assembly without prior permission will be treated as an act of indiscipline.
  • The prescribed school uniform must be worn neatly every day. Students are expected to maintain good personal hygiene and present themselves in a clean and tidy manner.
  • Respect and courtesy should always be shown towards teachers, staff members, fellow students, and visitors.
  • Students must maintain silence and discipline while moving between classrooms, corridors, laboratories, and other school areas.
  • Writing or scribbling on walls, desks, furniture, books, or any school property is strictly prohibited. Students must help keep the campus clean and well maintained.
  • Exchange of money, gifts, or personal belongings among students is not permitted without prior permission from the school authorities.
  • Only textbooks, notebooks, and library books required for academic purposes should be brought to school.
  • Students are responsible for the safety of their books, stationery, lunch boxes, water bottles, and other personal belongings.
  • Participation in sports, physical education, and co-curricular activities is compulsory unless exempted on valid medical grounds.
  • A minimum attendance of 85% is required for students to be eligible to appear for the final examinations, subject to CBSE and school regulations.
  • Students should complete all assignments, homework, and project work regularly and come prepared for daily classes.
  • Class leaders may enter the staff room only with the permission of the concerned teacher.
  • Students are not permitted to visit other classrooms or disturb classes during school hours or breaks.
  • Leaving the school campus during school hours is strictly prohibited unless written permission has been obtained from the Principal.
  • Parents, guardians, or helpers bringing lunch should wait only in the designated area near the school entrance. Students must collect their lunch during the lunch break.
  • Irregular attendance, repeated misconduct, disobedience, disrespect towards teachers or staff, negligence of studies, or any behaviour detrimental to school discipline may invite disciplinary action.
  • Parents are requested to check the student’s diary regularly, monitor homework, sign communications from teachers, and actively participate in their child’s academic progress.
  • Parents should carefully review report cards and provide additional support in subjects where improvement is required.
  • For absence exceeding three consecutive days due to illness, a valid medical certificate must be submitted. Prior permission should be obtained for long leave whenever possible.
  • Students suffering from contagious or infectious diseases should not attend school until they submit a fitness certificate issued by a registered medical practitioner.
  • The school reserves the right to send a student home if he or she reports without the prescribed uniform, required learning materials, or fails to comply with important school regulations.
